Arrow Which and Why? Similar Photos

Hi everyone! I know I've been absent a bit, but trying to stick around more. We'll soon be upgrading the forum software for more efficiency, so stay tuned!

For now, we've opened up this new forum as quasi-critique area, in other words, the poster must post two similar images, and the members must provide which of the two they like, and why? Call it a different form of critic, more like proactive feedback. No photo required to post your choice and feedback.

The key, both images must be close to the other, and/or some type of change like sepia verses color or similar poses. You can also take one image and ask, this crop or that crop and why? I'll kick this off with some examples. All "why" answers must be constructive, not destructive, the idea is to learn from other people's thoughts! Thanks, rg sends!

Please choose between the first and second image and explain why you like/dislike? Thanks!

I definitely like the second one better. Relatively speaking, of course, the 1st one seems flat. The second on the other hand, pops out at you. Seems brighter and more alive. So if I may ask, what was done different to the second? Was it a lighting adjustment? Or perhaps an increase in the constrast in PS? Both? Neither?

Actually, nothing was done different in either one in the shooting or post production. Both were shot with a Hensel Porty Premium battery pack and a Hensel ringflash with a Hensel Octa Sunhaze box on the ringflash. Post production is the same, perhaps the first one is a tad lighter now that I look at it. Thanks, rg sends!

I actually prefer the first. The models eyes have a bit more life in them for lack of a better description. The technical aspects of the photo are spot on. It's all about the model for me on these two.

As a mater of personal taste, I have always preferred shots of this model with her mouth slightly open. It lowers her jaw, elongating her face. This changes her facial features ever so slightly to give her a more "seductive" look.

In the first image she looks bit too serious.

As always, the photography is flawless.

In terms of pose, I prefer the first, with the mouth closed she looks more classy.

OTOH, the second looks more saturated.

Its a close one, I prefer the eyes of number 2 , but the more natural looking lighting of number 1.

I Agree The Second Shot Is Much More Sensual. However I Dont Like the Hand Positions. When I See The Back Of Both Hands It Is A Turn Off.Comes From My Old PP Of A Training.I would like To See A More Delicate Side View Of the Hands. The Front Hand, looks Puffy Masculine.
