Default Miss Mitchell

Miss Mitchell is the name of the B-25 bomber.

I took this picture at the Ottawa International Airport. Shutter speed was set at 1/4000 second to freeze the props.

Post production was done using Canon software and Macromedia Fireworks.

The conditions at the time was light fog and haze.

So which picture would you choose? Any other comments are welcomed.

To me both look very similar to say one over the other. Only drawback is those two items at the bottom of the image. They look like antennas. Very cool stopping the propelers.

I Like The Saturation Level Of Number 2 Best,I Would Have Actually Like to Have Seen The Props Blured To Show Motion,And A Closer Crop. The Red Wind Sock In the Bkg Is A Little Distracting.
Were You Able At Any Point To Get Closer??

I was 6 feet from the fence line, on a road that runs around the airport.

The rich colors of the 2nd beat out the first photo hands-down to me. I also would prefer to see the props blurred showing action rater than static motion. For all I know as a viewer the aircraft is just sitting on the tarmac. Also, I would have cropped the bottom more to eliminate the fence and cropped the top a little more and gone with a long panoramic effect. That would exaggerate the length of the runway in front of the aircraft and add to the feeling of taking off.

I also like #2....Great colors.....I might use the Shadow/Midtone/Highlight tool to open up the midtones a bit, and allow more detail to be revieled..Those old plains had style in design, A?

I like number two as well... but would like to see a crop of the fence.. was he taking off or landing? Landing you were lucky enough to get the shot.. taking off you could have distanced yourself from the flag behind the tail by just moving up a little. Details lol
