Default White Background Post Production Before and After

Hello Guys, I was trying to poor mans way of getting the extremely white background while practicing post production... tell me what you think... what would you have done?

Wow Thanks...

Ok I had just a white sheet with some lights pointing directly at the background ( I forget who in here told me that secret)... I used Photoshop CS3

First I duplicated the original image to a copy.

Layered the new image from the background to a layer

Made a new layer with a white backdrop.

Next I made a quick selection around the image using the Quick Selection Tool

While I had my selection, I used the Levels tool to change the background to the white that you see.

After I had my background, I changed the shirt colour using the Hue and Saturation tool, then I did a little healing brush to get rid of blemishes, then I gave her some green eyes.

I think thats how I did it.. I flattened the image and used the unsharpen mask to sharpen it a bit
