Default CS3 vs Elements...

I havent purchased CS3 not the price but at my level its more than i need...also, the simple plugins i use work fine in elements...

QUESTION: At what point do you need to migrate up to CS3...or might i ask (im not pro), can the average photographer do most things in elements ???

thanks!

PS: this has brobably been beaten to death, but interested anyhow...

Yes, the average photographer can probably do all they want using just Elements. But then, they're just "average" aren't they?

I think that a lot of us want to be more than average. We want to move further than the average photographer. Photoshop CS3 is a tool that can extend your reach, open new horizons, and create a new photographic vision that transcends the heights and depths of space and time. You literally leap to the ethereal realms when you own and operate CS3.

Also, its a nice status symbol, like have the latest super Canon or Nikon camera. People just think "master photographer" when they hear about the super gear and Photoshop CS3 you use to produce your photographs.

So is there any truth in the above? Who knows? I, myself, use CS3. I find I regularly need the extra muscle that it gives me over elements.

Cheers,
rfs
