Default My friend STAR again

Hello Shot Critic, just wanted to get some feed back on a couple pics Star and I were playing with today... today we tried to make the college student studio basically a 20 x 10 sheet and some floods lights pointed at the background.... let us know what you think about the pics... does any body have any poor man tips on studio lighting?









As always give us your feedback (model feedback too... she reads comments)

I think I like the last shot the best. I made a few adjustments on it.

Curves


Adjusted the saturation in the yellow channel


Then did some adjustments on the eyes and sharpened it a bit. Here is what I came up with.

I use a program that RFS mentioned in the past. It is called snagit.

On The Corrected Image,On My Screen,The Fleshtones look YELLOW.Or is It Me?
She Really is A Star! I Really Need A Strawberry!
Some of The Best images That I Ever Made Came From The Time When I Had Very Poor Equipment,And Very Limited Space!

Yes, I agree. It's a bit of a toss-up but I think I like the coloring of the origonal better. The other thing that I notice is that the increased contrast starts to blow out the palm of her hand. If her hand was rotated so that you saw less palm and more profile it would likely look better. This is the kind of thing that I need to drill into my own head because I too often see it after the fact in my own shots.

A Tighter Crop My Be Interesting,Just Showing The Strawberry ,Fingertip,Face Relationship.
Even Back In The days Of FILM,You Had To be Careful with African American Flesh Tones Going to The Yellow Side.We Use to Cool Them Down Either Afterwards,Or Add A Filter During The Shoot.
