Cute dog. On-camera flash is tough, but it didn't turn out too harsh. Do you mean FL was 136?

My apologies...the Flash is an External Shoe mounted Olympus FL36. I was about 6 feet away..I tried shooting at a longer focal length, but the AF was having a tough time. the 40mm-150mm has a bright f/stop, so I used it to help with the AF. The EXIF says the FL= 74mm (148mm in 35mm terms, the Olympus has a 2x crop factor)...the f/stop was f/3.9 (Wide open)

Ah, ok. Not that familiar with the Olympus terminology and thought FL meant focal length. I didn't know it was the flash, heh. Yeah, min focus distance can get up there on some lenses. On my 70-200 the min is about 4.5 feet!
