A lot of people start with an Alien Bee kit. I haven't tried them, but I do use White Lightning lights (which are made by the same company). RG is sponsored by Hensel and does not get along with the owner of the company that makes Alien Bees and White Lightning -- so just to warn you, asking about those brands in the public channel can cause interesting replies! Do you have a budget in mind? Do you know what kind of shots you want to take?
