Default Snow

In this part of the UK we only get snow every three of four years. And certainly not in April. So it was a surprise when it started snowing heavily whilst I was eating breakfast last Sunday. In an hour we had at least two inches.

I just had time to grab the camera, play with the white balance to cool things down (4500K) and head down a country lane on my way to work. Sadly when I got to the spot I though would be just right there was a telegraph pole and for sale board which ruined the photo. This shot was taken just around the corner and I still don't like the telegraph poles, but sadly by then I was already late for work and didn't have time to scout a better location

here is a quick edit. Took out the poles and adjusted the curves a bit.

I don't think the poles detract too badly, imho. I love the s-curve in the road.

Nice image.

Edit: I didn't see RSStory's post before posting.
Very nice job on pulling out those poles, RSStory!

Very nice, thanks. I don't think my clone brush skills are that good yet, but I'll have a play and see what I can manage myself.

Here's my attempt at cloning my 'prefered' picture. It actually worked out pretty easy.

Good job, we only get snow about once a decade in my part of Texas so I don't get to practice on my snow shots either.
