Default Such Talent in this group

There's so much talent on this site, I feel out of place. But I've always liked hanging around with folks with more talent than myself. Maybe something will rub off. Here's my contribution.

That's why I'm here. I'm a member on five photography sites. Each one gives a little different viewpoint. It's great to be able to not only read the books by great photographers, but to be able to mingle with the same great photographers on sites like these. A big thumbs up to Rolando, R. Smith, and the like on here for putting so much effort into these sites.

Thumbs up Re: Such Talent in this group

I'm here for the same reason...Most, if not all are here to have critics from more knowledgeable photographers. That can share their incites with us.

BTW...A Stunning Photograph...I get dizzy just looking at it for to long...Definitely a "hanger" on a big wall.

Thanks. I'm fond of the picture. It's one of the first of my pictures I actually hung on my own walls.

There sure is a great deal of talent here... I'm very greatful that photographers of such high caliber will reach out to those with less experience. It gives me hope for the world. I hope you post more I really enjoyed this shot. Electricseashell

Thanks. Sites like this give me hope that I can progress also. I'll probably never be a pro but that doesn't mean I can't aim to shoot like one. Photography is my hobby. My relaxation, and my frustration. It's just as fun as golf, just as expensive, and you can do it in a lot more places. <G>

Very nice shot. Nice saturation and great clouds. Often you have to do a lot of waiting to get the clouds to cooperate. This kind of shot lends itself to many different cropping interpretations. You might want to experiment with several (try a panaramic crop, for example or even a rule of third crop). Here is one example.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,
rfs

Thanks. This is one of those one in a million type shots. We were actually travelling at 90mph down the highway when I snapped that shot. My neice had apparently changed my settings on the camera and set it to that strange combination of settings. If She hadn't, I probably wouldn't have gotten that shot.

Thanks, I'll do some more playing with the cropping on it.

I like your shot as well and agree with RFS that there are probably a few different crops that would work well with this.

Nice work! Welcome and post often.
