What a beautiful spot...
Years ago (37), Our family (my parents and siblings) went through the Grand Canyon, and the Painted Desert..Stunning views and landscapes to look at...

Only CC
If this is straight out of the camera...You may want to add some contras and some saturation of the colors. to give it some "pop".

I agree... Definately a contrast adjustment is in order here. Then see what you need to do to the saturation.

Did a little tweaking to the image. I also got rid of the light pool at the bottom of the images.
