Default Hello from Boerne, TX

Yeah, I know I've already posted a hello from Florida. But that was when I was a Florida Shot Critic member. As of this week, I'm now a Texas Shot Critic member.

I moved into the new place Sunday. Well, me and a couple of suitcases moved in. My family and furniture will be following as soon as the kids get out of school in June.

I hope to meet lots of locals into photography. The guy in the office next to mine shoots Mamiya medium format film.

Welcome to Texas! You're going to love the Hill Country.

Now the question is how many non-Texans can properly pronounce Boerne. The follow up to that is Mexia.

I can pronounce Boerne now... When I flew in for my interview, I was calling it "Borne" But was quickly corrected. Who would have thought the Germans would have pronounced Boerne as Bernie?

As far as Mexia I'd have to guess, and say Me-ha... Kinda like the spanish word for my little girl...

It's a strange thing to be listening to the TV here and here them talk about Te haas... <G>

Thanks Eric.

I've only been here about two weeks now. But so far Boerne seems like a nice enough place. I'll feel better about it when the family gets here. I'm getting too old to live alone. <G>

I'll probably dig into work pretty heavy for a couple of weeks, and then dig into photography. It's always a good idea to learn as much as you can about a new company as quick as you can.
