From earlier today. Phia was great to work with.

I had 2 strip lights to camera left (f/11) a hairlight suspended from the ceiling(f5.6) and two 84"x48" silver reflectors to camera right.(f5.6). The center of her face metered at f8.0. The exposure was f/11, 1/125, ISO 100.

Hope this helps.

We're all at different levels here, and were once where you are now. If my answer didn't give you the info you need contact me off of the forum and maybe I can better explain what I did. You're asking all of the right questions.

I've seen other photographers start where you are, and with asking questions and applying what they learn they made huge amounts of progress. I suspect you will too. Just keep asking questions and learning.

Ok great.. once I get done with this last week of graduate school I can focus more on photography.. (which has become very addictive)... and I will bombard you with questions

It looks to me that you have been heavy handed with the skin softening. More so in the 2nd image you posted.

Also, I think it would be better for you to explain what you did in more detail on the forum. That is why people are here and you may be able to help more then just that one person.
