Default Someone I never shoot.

I shoot lots of models, and at most of my shoots, my wife is there. She does art direction and styling, plus tells the girls things that a male photographer shouldn't. One thing she practically never does is steps in front of the camera.

Let me know what you think:

Cute.

I like the colors and the lighting.

Was this done in the VI? I've seen a lot of similar background shots
out of RG's VI Seminar.

Yes, we shot this the day before RG's workshop started.

Well Done. Now, can you help out a guy who has never done a beach shot and tell me how you get the foreground to look like that (the walking on water look).

Thanks!

This was not shot on a beach, but instead in an infinity edge pool:

The model stands on the edge of the pool, and the photographer is in the pool, with the camera low, almost touching the water. This gives you the "Standing on water" effect.

I know some of the guys here have a better shot of what this setup looks. RSF?

SIDENOTE: Rolando Gomez teaches this technique at his Virgin Islands workshop.

What a great photo. Your wife's pose remains me of the nose pin-up art on the b17 bombers. Hmm. That might be a photo project idea.

Wow! Your wife looks like a fun lady! Her outfit is great, she has a great body and her attitude is tops. Thanks for the smile.
