Cool Ashley..1st Studio Session 1 Pix

Ashley wanted me to do a test shoot. To see if she had the looks for modeling...I think she does. Our session produced many nice photos. She is a free spirited in nature.

I have not applied any Soft-Focus to the skin yet, or any healing brush either...CC on lighting and pose. I did Dodge the right eye a bit. I still wanted it some shadow. And added a preset background from my software.

Nice. I'd say she has the looks for modeling, too. As a personal preference comment, that background is a bit...distracting.

I must agree the background is a bit much. In addition the hat and clothes don't really relate to well with each other. It looks like there may be some compression issues with the smaller photo size but the basic pose and lighting are fine!

Three times unlucky... That background is distracting and reminds me of old wallpaper.. Nice "model" though.

i like this one...the background is "differant" and to me that makes it "interesting...yes a bit distracting from the "norm"...

but hay, what is norm and what is creative....I think we should always try some new stuff!!!!!!!

I hate white BGs...Unless it is a tight crop and very little BG shows... I try to find BGs that has similar colors of the outfit if I can. I can Lower the Opacity too, this was at 70%..Maybe 40% would make it softer in color and not as distracting.

Well, She wanted to wear the hat with that top..She has a Scull and Cross-bone Tattoo on her upper back....Maybe that's why she wanted it on.??

I will be posting her "Best Of Session" on my Pbase Web site shortly. (My Picks)...Link in Sig belpw

Beautiful model. The background isn't to my liking.

The lighting on her face has too much shadow for my taste.

Thanks for sharing.

ok, You really need to stop with the drop in back grounds. Shoot it the way you want it in a scene that works for the shot. The only time I drop in a back ground is for a paying client that wants that. I also know when I am taking the shot that is the intent. Typically it is for an add or something. These backgrounds you are dropping in are not working at all and actually diminish the shot as a whole.

Aside from that, this pose and expression here really arent working for me. her head is too tilted and her hair is a mess. I would just scrap this shot and start over.

I would suggest that you post a completely finished shot for critique. Do all the work you are going to and then post it.

Scott.

Here is an example of a poster I did for a tattoo shop recently where I created the background and then shot 2 seperate images and dropped them in.
