Smile Suanne..A fun pose..

This is from 2006. 3 DSLRs ago.. Canon D60 and 50mm f/1.8

I was trying differant 1/2 poses..

Older models often have problems with the back of their hands. Design poses that do not show the back of hands. In your shot, the arm toward the camera would work better swung back a bit to give better arm definition (so in the photo the shoulder would have moved to the right and the back line would not be seen but rather the arm line). Softer light works better with older models, and also highkey generally works better than lowkey.

Yes, I see what you mean about a slight rotatation to the left to hide the back. and have a more graceful arm pose.

The lighting was (is) still pretty new...But I have figured out to produce softer lighting since then...not perfect.,..but better lighting...

What Roger said is pretty puch what I would have said. Other then that, watch the shadows on the face from the hair.
