reminds me of Indiana,
the muted colors on the BG add to the photo.

I agree, I like the muted colors in the background as well, it almost appears if she is standing facing a sunset, but without the red glow.

You must have been using flash units outside or some great post production. The shadow on the hat and her arm don't look right for the sky.

But you fooled me on the photo of the beautiful lady in the gown kneeling in the stream. She looks great!

Thanks

I had a canon 550 flash off camera. Very little post work other then levels and a crop.

Great job. Using a flash outside during the day is not something I remember often enough. Your photo demonstrates that even in daylight, a flash can make a difference.

Yes it can... but you do have to understand its limitations and how it effects the shot. Most would not have paid attention to the shadows that you pointed out, but as a photographer we need to notice those things and keep in mind that they can potentially ruin the shot.

Nice shot, beautiful model... but... I find the building/tree to create a certain tension (it seems shes looking at it, but it's obviously behind her view) that this shot doesn't need. Nice S-curves. The flashe's shadow cast from the brim of the hat to the crown of the hat is a bit awkward.. Hard to catch these without modeling lights... and in this daylight setting modeling lights would not be bright enough to see anyway. Perhaps placing the strobe higher and a wicked-large silver reflector in the grass, out of view to fill under the hat/chin might have worked. Nice job mind you...

I Like This Idea!I Also Would liked To See It A Little More Full Lenth,Even Wide Angle Shot From A Lower Perspective.Less Compressed Distance Between Subject And Barn.
Cute Model!
