Default Dominie

Here is a shot I did last summer. Post production was only levels and slight crop then resize for the web.

I like it...very dreamy. which compels me to ask..

The BG looks like some kind "Oil Painting" effect, Or "Smear". ??..I can tell where the water ends and overhanging begins on the left lower side..but the areas beyond that are "dreamy" in texture and show no finer detail..per-say.

A very special photograph. It has the ability to capture and hold your attention. Seems like it should be associated with a story perhaps a midevel fairy tale.

I love this photo and wouldn't mind if it were hanging in my home. It is very good and I like the post-production background work. Is this from one of the modern marriages where the bride trashes her gown after the wedding and gets photos of it as she does it?

Thanks for sharing.

It has a very pastel look which I think interprets to a painterly quality. The reflections also promote this atmosphere. The composition seems to be similar to a number of old painting styles that I've seen (and lot of them were in people's housing).
Cheers,
rfs

There is no post work on the background. It is as it was shot. This was taken in creek down near the Il. and Mo border somewhere. The dress is actually her Prom dress.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Now I see that the background is a large pool of water. I see the bank and some grass in the upper righthand side. Very good.
