Here is a fun shot of Holley Dorrough (Playboy Playmate). She's seems to be enjoying herself.

This is a good example of a shot that is flawed in several ways, but still works on the fun level. Can you spot the flaws?

What is really strange is that it doesnt look like Holly at all. I would not have known it was her if you hadnt said so. That is not a bad thing, just an observation.

That probably is a good testament to the range the model has that she can take on many different looks and personas. Here is a another quick shot of Holley from about 45 minutes later. (another outtake, by the way).

You don't often see her wearing glasses.

Ok. I'll give it a try.

The first thing I saw was the glare from the lighting on her sunglasses and on the car. Also, speaking of the car, I do believe that's a photographer I see in the paint job. Oh, one final thing; there is an odd shadow from the rear tire and her foot that is being cast from the lights.

Well, how did I do?

On the second one:

There might be some focus issues with her hand and the ends of her hair. Her head position is scrunched up to her chest. Last, the top of her head, where the hair and background met, blends in too much.

Again, these are just my observations. Really looking for others, and of course the photographer's opinion, to compare notes with.

Actually I usually like a little glare in sun glasses as it becomes the catchlight for the eyes that are otherwise obscured. I think there are several unwanted relfections also. The worse thing in my view was cropping off part of the foot. But then again, these were outtakes that I was having fun with.

The hair blending, hands, etc. is mostly from selective focus. I was shooting with a 70-200 f2.8 and shooting at 2.8 so very narrow DOF. You also get quite a bit of compression when shooting at around 200mm. Critical thing is the eyes. Are they sharp? As you can see they are very sharp and have a nice sparkle from the catchlight of the softbox. The scrunch is noticeable and was just the unfortunate result that comes when shooting outtakes. I had given her my glasses, because I wanted a few shots of her in glasses, and I only had a few seconds to shoot these at the end of a session.

I would say that is a good thing. To be able to pull off many looks is always helpful.

As for the second pic... Out take or not I would be extremely unhappy, if I were her, to know that you posted a shot that made me look that heavy. Many may not know what Holly looks like but you had to have put 40+ pounds on her in that shot.

I am pretty surprised that you posted that at all.

I don't see how this photo makes you look heavy!
