Default A collage - Dee-lightful ...

Herer is an example of a collage or composite:

I use a special product for creating these. You can read more about it here

http://www.lumapix.com/

I made this one in about 1 minute. You just select a bunch of photos and then click a button. You then see a collage. You have some instant buttons to shuffle them around, etc. You can then do all sorts of tweaks to one photo at a time or groups of photos. If you come up with an arrangement you like you can save it out as a template. I find that models really like these kind of collages. You can also export the collage to the web along with the supporting photos so that the collage becomes an image map. Here is an example of a web published collage

http://rfredricksmith.com/trains/

Click on any little photo in collage in the above example to see how the image map works.

Cheers,
rfs

That's impressive! This (LumaPix) program can be done in a minute while I can do that in Photoshop in probably 15 minutes.

By the way, Dee is a wonderful model. I used to photo shoot with her a while ago.

While I think I can understand why models may like these. What real purpose do they serve for a model. To throw on myspace or something? You certainly wouldnt use it in a portfolio, at least not one that I can think of.

This program does it quick so I guess it really isnt a time issue for you to do it but, again, what is the purpose of it?

They make a nice intro photo for the home page of a model website. As far as Myspace, etc, there is a whole marketplace of things like this being sold to people who want to jazz up their MySpace presence. I often provide these to models as an add-on item. I make a 11x14 or a 19x13 and charge $50 for it. It takes me 2 or 3 minutes to produce (and printing cost is $3-$4. What do the models do with them? I don't know! That's up to them. I just know that I don't mind adding $50.00 onto the sale for very little effort.

If you are selling them than that makes sense. I do them in my portrait business and sell them. Guess I never saw a real need for them with models. I think I will have to start adding that as an add on.

Now that is very cool! Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that in some of my product listsings.
