Red face First Submission

I pretty new to glamour photographs and consider myself a beginner amateur. To improve my skills I have been doing a lot of reading on composition and technical aspects of photography and of course taking hundreds of photographs. I would appreciate any feedback on one of my personal favorite photos so far.

Thanks

The lighting is a bit flat. The expression seems forced. I don't think the landscape mode works too well in this shot and the background is a bit drab. This shot would fall more in the snapshot category rather than glamour. Try for a lighting ratio that gives a little modeling to the face. Also consider whether to go with broad or short lighting to emphasize the side of the face that works best. The blue works well with her eyes, but with a better color harmonized background, the shot would work better. Also consider portrait orientation.

cheers,
rfs

I have to agree with what RFS said. The biggest thing for me is the expression. It doesnt say glamour to me at all.
