You need to go back through all your posts and upload the photos to your ShotCritic portfolio. Linking to Pbase often does not work. Having the shots in your portfolio works much better and then you'll stop getting all these messages about not seeing your photos. Since you've already moved one of your photos and re-linked it, you are well on your way. Good luck.
Cheers,
rfs

I am not really liking the horizontal crop here. I think there is too little dead space on the right to make it interesting. I am thinking that a tight vertical crop would be stronger here. Also, I would suggest a slight levels adjustment to bring the black background to black.

The hair over her eye is a little bothersome to me but that may be just a personal preference. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Her expression seems a little bored to me. I would like to see this shot in a vertical crop though.

In these her shoulders draws too much attention. If you had her drop her shoulder just a little bit they would be stronger. I like the expression in the first vert image.

I still think the first would be a good one if you take it to a vertical crop. Try it and see waht you think.

Vertical or "portrait" orientation seem to work best for portraits and glamour headshots.. doesn't it?

I think if it isnt vertical than it has to be very interesting and unique to hold our attention.

Yes in most cases. here is a senior portrait in Horz or landscape I tried..
She Liked it..I wasn't too keen with it..Mainly with her hand placement. But 95% of time..the Vert or portrait orientation works best.
