Too Much Going On In That Background!First Shot ,Crease In Her Side.Expression Needs Help.I Get the Impression That She Really Would like To Be Some Where Else.On Number Two, Slouched Mid Section Then We look Up Her Chin And Nose.Mid section Not Tight On Number One.Number One is Your Best Pose I Would Do Some Modifications to The Background,Tighten Tummy,Use A More sexy Expression,Watch That Crease In The Side.Experiment More With Lighting.

The expression one image one is dead on .. not a thing wrong with it. The slouch is also dead on the goal was a fashon/glam image directed at female audience. So the poses are more than appropriate. As for the lighting is also prefect I do not practice or teach flat, shadow less, depthless lighting

I should have cleared the back ground but I was teaching at the time and I was not going to walk my old butt around to the other side to move stuff

Thanks for you response I enjoyed defending my image with you

While I can tell the top image is fashion and the bottom is glamour, I must agree, the background is way too busy. In fashion, you're selling the clothes or product, in glamour, your subject is all that matters and the clothes and background/foreground should accentuate the model.

I see this wrought iron fence and don't see why it would be blocking a double doorway, especially when one door is open. Not to mention, on the open door, I see what appears to be a military style camo net, not sure why you would have a net on side of an open door and an iron gate in the front of it. Both images should tell a story, not sure what purpose in the stories the doors have with the net and iron. Perhaps if the background was the great outdoors or something, but not a double doorway. Not sure how that would serve a "female" audience as you put it.

On your lighting, you have lighting creating shadows on the floor, in the direction of the open door which appears to have light coming in, hence the shadows would be backwards. In your first photo, the curtain, camera right, follows her arm, creating one background inside the triangle formed by her arm and another background outside the arm that doesn't match. Again, I don't see how it can be sold to a female audience as you state.

Finally, some words of wisdom, printed words sound harsher than spoken words, so take critiques as constructive, not destructive, as the image should stand for itself, not have to be defended. Beautiful model I might add. Thanks for sharing, rg sends!
