I took the shot early last year with an Olympus E-10. It was only a 4 MP camera but it had a great lens on it!

I have noticed, that using a higher ISO to get a 1/320s or faster with f/8 or f/11 leads to sharper macros,....

Yours looks a tad soft...Plus, did you crop heavy on this one?? I have a thread here (Bee on Flower) that has two atemps. The Original Photo was at ISO 200 at 1/200s at 150mm f/6.3,,,My last post (3 photos, shot at ISO 400 and 1/400-500s at 150mm F/8 .And had a very tight crop..down to 1,100 x 850 just to fill the frame with subject...I noticed a great increase in sharpness on these.

What are the details of your photo ??

The crop wasn't too heavy but I only had 4 MP to start with. I think I lost a bit of sharpness when I converted to to a small jpg for uploading.

The details on the shot are:
ISO 80
f/2.4
1/100 sec
132mm fl

Here is another one from the same day

The colors and boken are fantastic....I still think on flowers were there is some depth, A smaller f/stop F/8-16 would be better..To insure more of the flower/s are in focus..not just the front plain.

I have an abstract of a flower bunch that my neighbor planted...I used f/13 to insure every pedal was sharp..or my idea would not have worked.

Here is another one I found with deep DOF on a pair of Pansy's
Granted, it was taken with a Oly C5050 with a 2/3" sensor..(wish I still had it too)

This is the best example of colored pencil effect I have seen. Excellent work. Everytime I used pencil effect I gave up.

I need to learn to do this. I've got an image that I want to convert to B&W pencil.... I want to use it on stationary. Is it difficult to do?

I think this would be nicer if the DOF was more pronounced bringing the three main flowers up...and diminishing the wilted ones.. it also seems to have water spots which is normal for petunias as they wilt when rained on.
