Default Tornado in the making ...

Here is another of my garden shots. It is based on the idea of "sensitive dependence on initial conditions". Will the flapping wings produce a tornado?

This shot is also sort of one of my ongoing "salvage" project and represents a 100% crop from the full shot. CEP 3.0 used to adjust the tonal range. Mystical lighting to tweak the basic lighting of the shot.

cheers,
rfs

I love it. There is a very ethereal feel to it and it doesn't look like it's been salvaged at all (and I mean that as a compliment).

Very nice!

The Butterfly is a great capture...added saturation and DR add also..
But that flower in the upper left is distracting to me...I know it is a 100% crop..so your new file size is small. Maybe adjusting to more center the butterfly??...If you have any room to do it.

Thanks. I could have cropped in several ways. but I wanted the butterfly on the left moving into the scene. If I cropped the flower out, then the butterfly is moving out of the scene which I think would weaken the composition. I actually liked the flower because it serves as the next destination for our traveler. And consider also the title of the shot and the text description that I provided. So in keeping with the idea of chaos, I wanted the scene to have a certain chaotic element to it which I think the flower also provides. This is a story photograph as well as an editorial one.

However, if anyone is interested, I can provide the full photograph and let others have a shot at cropping and other tweaks.

Cheers,
rfs
