Default Mmmmm! Tasty!

Early bird gets the worm. This one was snacking in my backyard yesterday in the afternoon... late lunch, perhaps?

Any suggestions on post processing will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Paul

Nice capture... For my eyes the grass is a little too contrasty. It overpowers the bird a bit. That may just be my tired eyes though.

It may be created by over sharpening. There is a distinctive halos around the bird that may be indicative of too much sharpening (or perhaps a small section of a larger photo was blown up?

You might be right about sharpening: I used PS Shadow/Highlight tool, and I believe it does sharpen things a bit (doesn't it?) That's certainly not the effect I wanted. I'll go back and try to reprocess while paying attention to what the S/H tool does...

Here's the completely unprocessed but resized original, as it came from the camera:

Yes, I can definitely see that. I'll be doing more work on this one.

Catching the worm in the air? I'll work on that one tomorrow

Thanks a lot for all the great advice, gentlemen.

Regards,

Paul
