I love to shoot people, but need to expand my horizons. This is my attempt at shooting some flowers:

Both are very nice but I prefer the first... The DOF is great and the colors in the flower really pop out nicely.

On the first picture, I used a bit Photoshop to make the flowers pop a bit more. Using LAB mode, I blended the A and B channels to create deeper reds, yellows, and greens. I then sharpened the L channel to create a crisper image. Because I am limited to 100K upload, I can't show you my result. Using jpg level 9, I was at 120K or something. At level 12, I was nearly 350K.

If you send me a PM with your email address, I can send you the PSD or high resolution jpg of what I did.

All that said, I like both images. The colors are wonderful and captivating.

Tough choice. Both are great photos. I like the red yellow flower having the background of blue green. It makes the flower pop out more.
