Default Shotcritic & Glamour1

I've got a G1 account from before, but not under the same user name though.

I was surprised to find out that my shotcritic account works as well on G1 with less access to posts areas. But not the other way around. (I wasn't paying attention and signed into the wrong forum. Multitasking is something I naturally have a hard time doing. Its not my fault, its genetic. )

I feel like I've got 2 and a half accounts now. Man I read too many forums....

So are the 2 sites planning to have some sort of joint membership type option?

Just curious as I was thinking about getting the VIP Plus subscription before, but for the same price I get 30 years over at G1 instead of 1yr.

Kirk,

I use the same user name on both although the passwords are different. I haven't tried logging into one with the other.

I agree there. I am a little confused about the whole new forum. I am a lifetime member of G1 and I really don't see why the features of ShotCritic can't be incorporated there. I am happy to have found some interesting threads here but I see no reason why they could not have been incorporated into Glamour 1.

The G1 account was created over a year and a half ago before my SC account. Maybe even 2.

Since this site is new "ish" its nice to grow with the community. Kind of like your local bar where everyone knows your name.

But the style of photography I'm looking to do is inline with G1 site.

I totally understand why they have the 2 sites. Just now its up to the options, or what the site has to offer thats going to make my decision on where I want my money to go.

If I recall correctly, this site is the test bed for the G1 upgrade. As we use this site we are working out the bugs for a smooth transition on G1.

That would be great. I'd love to have all this info in one place. I'm just a little hesitant to pay for two sites from the same administration. I put my checkbook on the line to support Glamour1 (and was happy to do it). But I kinda feel like "Lifetime" wasn't enough and now I have to "re-up" over here. (I know, it's not required, but I like to support those who provide me with service.)

Don't get me wrong, I've learned a lot from G1, RG, and the folks I met at the workshop. Some of my best shots came from there.

Tom
