Trouble Understanding How...

I was able to register, create albums, upload photos and when I tried to post an image in a forum, I couldn't see any way to upload the photo other than using a URL link...which I don't know how to do when the photo is on my hard drive. I guess I need an obvious button to upload a photo into a forum?

I really like that the upload feature automatically formats the photo for the site. The ones I uploaded started as large are 750kb and they look fine.

Just go view the photo in the album you uploaded it to. Below it you will see three fields of info. Click into the middle one and it will highlight. Copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl C) then when you post, paste the code you copied at the point where you want the photo to appear.

Rolando has said elsewhere, that a [images] link will be added for direct pasting, but that has not arrived yet.

If you're able to upload the photos, then posting is easy. And as note, we are working on a faster easier way to get images put in your posts from your albums. (I just noticed RFS replied, but here's some more information.)

But for now, simply upload your photo to whatever album you've created. Then go to that album, click on the thumbnail of that photo so you can view it in the larger size, then copy the BB Code: in the box underneath that image. You have three codes, Image URL: and Embed Code:, we're only interested in the BB code on the forum, though you can use the image URL.

So if you go to this image of mine:

The proper code would be

[img]http://www.shotcritic.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=206[/img]

to post it on the forum. Just copy your BB code and paste it on the forum reply box where you want the image to be posted.

If you want to post an image from another site or actual URL, then you'd click the little picture icon on this reply box,

and it will pop out a box for your to enter the URL of the image, sample URL for my same image is

The embed code is more for building web-pages so you can "embed" the code in your HTML pages and that sample code for this image is
