Default Flag Tooltip

Perhaps I'm the most uneducated here when it comes to flags, but I find myself wondering, "What is that flag," pretty often. It's a cool feature of the site, but to be honest, I don't know what the Idaho flag looks like...and I expect that people that haven't lived near me don't know what the Illinois flag looks like. Throw a few foreign countries in (I usually know the country, but not the local flags) and I am certainly not going to recognize where someone is from...

So...long way of saying, please consider adding the territory the flag represents to the tooltip of the image in the forums. Should be a straightforward change -- although perhaps that's just a plug-in mod that you don't want to touch.

I dont know state flags either. So that makes two of us uneducated people here.

Make that three and a new member from India couldn't find any options close to him. It's kind of neat though.
There is a real art to taking photos of flags.. trying to capture a moving flag is difficult maybe we should have a section for flags. So we can post shots, as a shutterbug the flag keeps showing up in my photos

The chosen flags are being stored in the raw database so it would be possible to have the PHP code create the tooltip -- but I suspect its a custom job. And the problem about doing little tweaks like this is that when a updated version of the forum software is installed you often lose the little micro changes like that. That usually means you have to hire a programmer to do an "official" plugin type mod. And so it goes.

Maybe we could set up a flag forum, however, and everyone could post flags from around the world that they've shot and tell what flag it is. Eventually we would then learn all the flags.

Cheers,
rfs
