Default What do you think?

Need some feedback from the "charter" test group here. First, the link to the "Photos" up top takes you to a "canned" program for images that the content management system uses, I like it if it was only for my site, but don't really think it will work here for this concept.

On the other hand, the "album" system is what ties in with your registration for the forum though it needs some mods like more efficient searching, view counts, etc., but I think it's more in-line with what we need--critique here or in member's albums as I saw done in Ruben's albums by RSStory.

The idea is to keep this site simple. Too many photo sections can make it confusing, so I ask, do we kill the "photos" from the top menu and just ride with the forum's "albums" system? I think that's the way to go. Then we give the user the options, post in the forums or your albums and we'll critique in either place.

What do you think? Thanks, rg sends!

I think I would go with your gut here. Kill the photos section and lets critique in the album and the forum. I like that this site is critique any image here no matter where it is, but I dont think we need them in 3 places.

I think I have to agree. To much clutter makes it difficult and I like simple.

I think that the photos section should be trashed. People are used to seeing pictures attached to user profiles: Myspace, Facebook, Candy sounding Modeling site, and other places.

Just my 1 cent...

I would agree with you, too. I'd get rid of the Photos section and go with the forum location instead.

Trashed it is! We'll leave the link for now, it will redirect to the forum. As soon as Igor can make me a script (grin), we'll have a page of thumbs, member's portfolio list or something that the "photos" link will go to, so I've left the link up. Have to run, system seems to run great! Once we get the bugs out, we'll move to a faster server. Thanks, rg sends!
