Default Shot in the Park

Just interested in what people have to say,
both on the technical and artistic side.

This just feels more like a snapshot then fashion. The smoke infront of her face is making her face look soft. The bag is a distraction for me. I think she is a little to close to the center to be interesting compositionally. One thing to remember when you are shooting horizontally is that we see everything in that aspect, therefore if you want to grab the viewers attention it has to look different then how we see all the time. Rule of thirds comes into play here. Perhaps if you had turned her body so that her feet were pointing back into the image, that may help. Keep reading and shooting and you will get it. I also think the background is a bit distracting. perhaps some better control of DOF would help here.

Couple examples of what I mean. I hate how soft these look on here but I think you will get the idea.

I agree the smoke has taken away the punch if there was one from the picture. Also there seems to be some blue cast, mild warm color would do the trick. I always use Unsharp Mask filter after I have compressed my image for the web use. Digital images are in any way are a bit on the softer side than what we know of film.
