I have never been a fan of this type of post production effect. If you want the model in water then go put her in water. This is one of those post production things that just make me cringe.

Sorry to make you cringe. I'm just trying to get some interest going in the various forums and at the same time to test out different things to see if they are all working.

I sometimes find the "flood" filter to be very useful for shots that already have water in them and you want to enhance it or gain more control over its effect in the shot. Here is an example (but its a nude, so I'm only providing a link). You've probably seen the shot before on G1, by the way.

In a shot where there is already water and you are using it to enhance or control as you mentioned, It doesnt bother me at all... But in your original example, I hate it. Nothing personal.
