Default A spiral building

I don't know the purpose of this building. I didn't go in (I should have.) I think the tree in the top should go.

I have lived in Florida USA, and in St Augustine, there is a "FORT" protecting the inlet from the ocean to the bay areas...

I am wondering if this may be a similar structure..? and the doors? were really for cannons to be set up at all 360* angles... Is the interior large empty spaces, maybe a small ammo area on each level..??

All those holes at the higher level would lead to beleive that they were for guns or arrows to be shot through.

It's a great shot...Nicely balanced and detailed.

I didn't go in, but I can imagine what you are saying. The spiral ramp would make it easier to change the elevation of the cannos...if necessary.

Thanks for the comments.

Interesting architecture. Lots of buildings nowadays are trying to make some sort of a statement beyond mere utilitarianism. Like this one that I previously posted (and a spiral sort of building also).

Cheers,

This one wierd building. I saw a program on a Spanish architech who designs and builds strange building like this. (I don't remember his name.)
