Default Temple at Chitchen Itza, Mexico

I took this photo towards the end of the day in the hopes of getting some contrasting shadows. I think it turned out pretty good. What are your thoughts?

I like the fact that it's not a shot of the main pyramid! Shooting Chichen Itza means lots of shots of the pyramid and there's so much else there!

I think you could increase the contrast and straighten it a bit, but otherwise it's a good shot of the temple. I'd be tempted to selectively blur the trees in the background -- but that's a matter of taste. It would make the temple pop.

Chichen Itza is a great place for photography with tons of details all over the place that are easy to overlook. You may have other "photos inside of photos" from your visit. I'd encourage you to look for them. Here's one of my own from a detail on the side of one of the ruins.

That is one of the neat things about photographing buildings (old or new). There are always these neat little things in and/or on them that can be zeroed in on. Here is another example
