I thought you didn't need a permit unless it's promotional work? Like shooting commercial products or advertisements. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a "public place" if you can't use it. I should look up such info as well for my area. I hope some of the pros respond to this. This sort of informations is very important. Save you time and a ticket.
